History of SVDP in Denver
The St. Vincent de Paul Society has a long and rich history of helping in the Denver Metro area. It was established in Denver in 1888 and has maintained an active presence in human services and relief activities for 123 years. The Society had its humble beginnings at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and now has 32 Conferences in the Denver metropolitan area. The Board of Directors of the Denver Metro Council of the SVDP is looking for two new Board members. If you are a member of a SVDP Conference and would like to serve in yet another way please call the Metro Council office at 303.960.9163.
Serving on the Board involves one meeting a month and being willing to work to ensure that the Society is responding to the needs of those struggling with today's economic challenges. It is a wonderful way to share the blessings you have been given. Do not underestimate what you have to offer.
